Game highlight: “Sierra Moore, sophomore, led the team in scoring with 17 points, and added a double-double with a team-high 14 rebounds. Moore performed her best in crunch time, scoring eleven of her 17 points in the second half and adding eight rebounds and three assists over the final 20 minutes.”

Barash Coppersmith Pink Zone Champion Award is an annual recognition of an individual, organization or group that has made outstanding contributions to breast cancer education, outreach, advocacy, treatment, survivorship, research or support in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. An award will be made in association with the annual Pink Zone game. Nominations can be made by volunteers for Pink Zone, staff of Intercollegiate Athletics, Lady Lions staff and team members, and the community at large.)
Quote of the year: “Competing at any level of sports, we are often role models and what we do [in competition]inspires people, but Pink Zone is a day where we get to be inspired,” Washington said. “We get to be inspired by what we see and the fight that we see from the survivors. When you have all of that energy in the arena, it almost doesn’t matter what happens with the game. It’s just a big celebration of surviving and a celebration of fighting,” said Coach Coquese Washington.
Fun Fact: Grammy-nominated recording artist Kathy Sledge of the group Sister Sledge performed the national anthem and at half time
